Dr. Lewis' journey to becoming a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine started over 15 years ago in the field of Physical Therapy. She attained her degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and has a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University in Health Science and Management. After graduating from Naturopathic Medical School, Dr. Lewis completed two years of residency in Phoenix, Arizona, in a setting that focused on women's medicine and primary care.
At Harmony Integrative Healthcare, Dr. Lewis treats common conditions that affect women of all ages. She is certified in Holistic Pelvic Careā¢, a technique she uses to help women with pelvic pain, incontinence, postpartum healing, and painful sex, and is skilled in acupuncture and other pain management therapies. Dr. Lewis combines her background in physical therapy with her knowledge of injection techniques that restore normal function and decrease joint pain. She also conducted medical research on the clinical applications and effectiveness of botanical therapies in treating common digestive issues such as SIBO.
Dr. Lewis believes that it is important to support organizations that increase the availability and knowledge about Naturopathic Medicine. She is a proud member of the Arizona Naturopathic Medical Association (AZNMA) and the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). While in school, she sat on the board of the Naturopathic Advocate and Community Awareness Team (N-Act).
Dr. Lewis' daily healing comes from her enjoyment of music, dancing, shooting the breeze with intellectuals, and giving back through her community and global health endeavors. She loves living in beautiful Arizona because she can spend most of the year outside enjoying activities such as hiking and swimming.
